Ulukhaktok (Holman) has a reputation as being extremely friendly and clean. It is not uncommon for visitors to be welcomed to the community by a friendly greeting and a handshake. This is truly an Ulukhaktok trademark and one of several reasons why many a visitor has returned several times over the years.

Jet service is available on First Air from Yellowknife and Edmonton to Ulukhaktok. Jet service is also available on Canadian North from Calgary, Edmonton and Yellowknife to Inuvik where you will transfer to Aklak Air for service to Ulukhaktok. Service is also available through Whitehorse, Yukon with Air North and making connections to Aklak Air.

Accommodations are available at the Arctic Char Inn Recently rebuilt, Arctic Char Inn hosts 8 rooms with many amenities and restaurant.

UCC (Ulukhaktok Community Corporation) now has the taxi service in the community. For service contact 867-396-4701.

Groups could also charter into the community with any of the charter companies located throughout the Northwest Territories.
